This video is a follow-up to my previous video on the design and testing of gang tooling for the Tormach 8L lathe. In this video I describe the redesign of the gang tooling which encompasses several new changes from my previous gang tooling version including: 1. Machining the main mounting plate from an 8” wide by 12” long by ¾” thick aluminum plate 2. Moving the AXA tool post ¼” to the left to give me some additional space for machining 3. Adding adjustment bars for the setup and alignment of the tool posts 4. Adding a parts catcher to the front of the main plate to eliminate parts from falling down below the lathe bed 5. Machining three positions for the center gang tooling for using different lengths of tooling. 6. Moving these three sets of holes to 0.400 inches apart instead of the 0.6” apart used previously to give me additional versatility in setting up tooling. These improvements improved the use and versatility of this gang tooling system.
