i was constantly both bewildered and disgusted by the treatment of the big cats displayed. Yes, the humans on the show arebombastic, hypocritical, dramatic, more believable as caricatures than real human beings.
this seems to be the focus for most. But for me personally, all of that (as truly mind-boggling and insane as it was) was constantly overshadowed by the depressing, restrictive, and disgusting enclosures the animals lived in.
i really, really wish people would get past the petty human drama happening between the trailer trash people on this show, and focus more on the insanely abusive culture said people are perpetuating with these beautiful wild animals who deserve so much better.
tigers are meant to be free, to hunt. There is something seriously wrong with the picture, when they are bred so the cubs can be ripped from their mothers and exploited for photo ops for a precious few (lucrative) weeks; the adults are shown pacing in tiny, inadequate enclosures awaiting a (subpar) meal of random cow bits; and the so-calledpreach on the importance of preserving habitats whilst continuing their horrendous practices for the sake of profit.
sorry for such a long and serious comment on a lighthearted video. But this series is so inescapable now. I have been trying to post similar sentiments on dailymail articles for weeks, but my comments never go through.
if i woke up ai would love to create a true sanctuary for these animals. Unfortunately, most of them cannot be rehabilitated back into the wild. We should all ignore the absurd theatrics of the people involved, and instead consider what this situation says for the tigers. Thank you
