Todays recipe is a Maharashtrian recipe which could be had as for breakfast,light brunch or an evening snack...made with rice flour and butter milk.Here are the ingredients and method
Ingredients
I am using a wati as a measure here 1 wati is 3/4 of a cup
3 watis butter milk/taak
(whick 2 watis of curd till smooth and add 1 wati water ,whisk well till smooth)
1 wati of rice flour made into a paste by adding 1 & 1/2 cup of water
a paste of 2 light green chillies and 3-4 small garlic cloves
salt to taste
1/2 tsp each of
mustard seeds
hing/asafotedia
haldi/turmeric powder
cumin/jeera seeds
fresh chopped corriander for garnish
Method
Heat a tbsp of oil in a pan,add the mustard seeds,cumin,asafotedia and haldi powder..now add the buttermilk..keep stirring till the buttermilk starts to boil,add the rice flour paste and keep stirring,add salt to taste..mix well..cover and cook for 5 mins stirring in between...the mixture will start leaving the sides of the pan..add half of the chopped corriander and mix well...turn off the flame and keep covered for another 2 mins..garnish with the remaining corriander...while serving add a few drops of oil..Ready to enjoy with a hot cuppa tea..
