Most common #reasons and causes are #haemorrhoids (Bawasir), #fissures (Bhagandar) , ulcers, solitary rectal ulcer syndrome (SRUS), #ulcerative #colitis, polyp, colonic diverticulum, angiodysplasia to colon cancer. Common symptoms are

Urgency (patient has to rush to toilet)
Incontinence (passage of stool in cloths)
Pain abdomen
Weight loss
Diagnosis
Diagnosis is confirmed by colonoscopy and biopsy
Treatment
Treatment depends upon severity of disease
Mild disease is treated by Mesalamine
Moderated and severe disease is treated by Steroids, antimetabolites, and Infliximab
Severe cases may require surgery
Solitary Rectal ulcer Syndrome or SRUS is a condition characterised by constipation and bleeding in stool. Condition is confirmed by sigmoidoscopy and biopsy. Treatment is local enemas.
Colon cancer can also present with obvious, overt or occult bleed. Occult blood means, blood is not seen with naked eyes in stool, testing is requires to diagnose this condition. Cancer of colon can present with occult blood and anaemia. Colonoscopy is required to diagnose this condition and treatment is either surgery or chemotherapy depending upon the stage of the disease.
